Project Context
Annette first contacted Vantage Roofing Ltd. after noticing a leak developing around one of her skylights. Like many homeowners, her initial goal was to solve the immediate problem without committing to a full roof replacement if it wasn’t yet necessary.
Our team completed a targeted repair around the skylight, rebuilding critical waterproofing details to stop the leak. This repair gave Annette time to evaluate the overall condition of her roof. After further consideration, she decided it made more sense to invest in a complete roofing system that would protect her entire home for decades.
The challenge began as a localized leak around a skylight, with potential for ongoing water damage if not addressed quickly. While the initial repair successfully stopped the leak, Annette recognized that continuing to repair isolated areas as they aged would be less effective—and more costly over time—than replacing the entire roof.

We began by eliminating the active leak: carefully dismantling the affected area around the skylight, improving waterproofing around the chimney, and rebuilding the roofing assembly with colour-matched materials.
