Project Context
Ryan was looking for more than just a cosmetic roof replacement. His goal was to install a system that would provide lasting reliability, improved weather resistance, and strong warranty coverage. Rather than simply replacing aging materials, he chose to upgrade to a full roofing system that enhances performance from the roof deck upward using premium products and advanced installation techniques.
Ryan’s project presented an opportunity to go beyond a basic re-roof. While his existing roof had reached the end of its lifespan, the real objective was to significantly improve protection against moisture, wind, and seasonal weather conditions. The challenge was to design and install a system that maximized durability while reducing the likelihood of future repairs or premature failure.
Ryan selected Vantage Roofing Ltd. because of our system-focused approach to roofing. We began by removing and disposing of all existing roofing materials, preparing the structure for a complete system upgrade. Our team installed Arctic Seal® Ice & Water Barrier in vulnerable areas, followed by high-performance synthetic underlayment to create multiple layers of moisture defense.
We then installed Malarkey Smart Start starter shingles, Vista® AR shingles, and RidgeFlex® hip and ridge shingles to complete the roofing system. Critical upgrades included chimney re-flashing, new drip edges, diverters, and reinforced roof penetrations using peel-and-stick membranes.
Ventilation improvements were implemented through the installation of attic vents, B-vents, stem vents, goose neck vents, and premium lead plumbing flashings. Throughout the project, we maintained strict property protection standards and completed a full cleanup to ensure minimal disruption.
