Project Context
Kazuki’s Vancouver property required a comprehensive roofing upgrade that extended beyond simple material replacement. The structure combined sloped and flat roof sections, each demanding specialized materials and installation techniques. In addition to roofing, the project included skylight upgrades, ventilation improvements, and drainage enhancements to ensure a cohesive and high-performing system.
The primary challenge was managing two fundamentally different roofing systems within a single project. The sloped roof required advanced shingle installation and ventilation strategies, while the flat roof demanded a robust waterproofing solution capable of handling standing water. Integrating skylights, drainage transitions, and wall flashing without creating vulnerabilities added further complexity.
Kazuki chose Vantage Roofing Ltd. for our proven expertise in handling complex, multi-system roofing projects. Our ability to deliver both sloped and flat roofing solutions under one unified approach provided confidence, consistency, and simplified project management.
We approached the project as a full roofing modernization. After removing existing materials, we assessed the structure and rebuilt both roofing systems in coordination. The sloped roof was upgraded with a premium Malarkey system, improved ventilation, new skylights, and reinforced flashing. The flat roof was reconstructed using a durable two-ply torch-on system designed for superior waterproofing. Every component was installed to function as part of a single, integrated system.
The completed project delivered a fully upgraded roofing system that enhances protection, drainage, and energy efficiency. The sloped roof now offers improved ventilation and durability, while the flat roof ensures reliable waterproofing. With upgraded skylights, flashing, and drainage systems, Kazuki’s property is now more resilient, easier to maintain, and built for long-term performance.
