Project Context
Viva Outdoor Living asked us to handle roofing on a client’s new addition. The scope included removing a section of the existing cedar roof, installing a new two-ply torch-on membrane for the flat/low-slope areas, and finishing with premium cedar shakes to match the home.
Materials Used
Torch-On System: Soprema two-ply torch-on
Cedar Shakes: Western Red Cedar, 24″ × 5/8″ tapersawn, Premium Grade, Blue Label, Bureau Stock, 100% edge grain, 100% clear heartwood, CCA treated
The main challenge was the tight timeline. We needed to complete the roofing work before the seasonal weather change, reducing risk of moisture exposure and schedule delays for the builder and homeowner.
